The classes
Ensemble Classes
Basically, a Musical Theatre chorus class. We work on developing voices, learning music, harmonising, staging, and performing as an ensemble. These classes can accomodate up to 40.
Focus Class
Your chance to get up as a solo performer and work on your craft. Classes are limited to 15 students. You will prepare and present solo material (like an audition) in front of the class who will act as your supporters while we explore ways to bring each piece to life.
FAQs
Do you have to audition?
No. Individual solos in ensembles or recitals will have auditions but there is no audition for the classes.
Do you have to read music?
No. But we show you have to learn music both with a score and without. We explore the many tools available to make you a valued performer
Can you be in shows while still in Greenstone classes?
Of course! In fact, we encourage our students to audition for the many wonderful companies we have as well as school productions.
If we get in a show can we take a leave of absence from Greenstone.
Yes, we make arrangements for leave and fo reduced fees.
Who teaches the classes?
Ravil and Amanda Atlas are seasoned professional performers with many decades of experience here and overseas (including Broadway). They are in charge of the classes and how/what we teach. Greenstone also has tutors broght in to help run classes, stage ensembles, and cover when Amanda or ravil are off performing.
